Kentish Cobnuts Association
The Kentish Cobnuts Association is a National Membership association tasked with Promoting and Conserving British Hazelnuts.
We were established in 1990, with the aims of regenerating the industry and promoting Kentish Cobnuts and British Hazelnuts.
Preserving a British tradition
British grown hazelnuts have exceptional flavour and are noticeably better than imported hazelnuts that are often smaller and less fresh.

A Message From Our Chairman
We are committed to encouraging more people to enjoy and discover the delights of Kentish cobnuts and British grown hazelnuts — unique seasonal foods with exceptional flavours and significant health benefits.
The Kentish Cobnuts Association represents a growing national membership of growers and provides a clear, unified voice for the sector — supporting production, promoting British grown nuts, and engaging with industry and government where needed.
With over 160 members and renewed interest in Kentish Cobnuts and British grown hazelnuts, we are focused on preserving traditional Kentish Cobnut orchards (known as plats) and also encouraging new planting initiatives either in traditional method or with more modern mechanical harvest approaches, ensuring the sector grows in a coordinated and sustainable way.
I would be delighted if you wanted to join the association. Find out about the Association Committee here.
